Adult Squads

Rowing is a great way to keep fit and is a sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages – it’s never too late to learn! At Trentham Boat Club, in addition to the junior squad, we have very active ladies and men’s squads made up of members of all abilities from newly started to seasoned rowers.

Men’s Squad

Normal men’s squad training sessions are Tuesday 6pm, Saturday 8am and Sunday 8:30am. The squad is a right ole mix of guys, all ages, shapes and sizes and all friendly of course. We put 100% effort in – not only the rowing but to our club social life too! For more details, please contact our Men’s Captain Leon Warrington or Vice Captain Matt D’Arcy (see our Contacts page).

Ladies’ Squad

We’re a very friendly group of lady rowers – we have great fun on and off the water but we have been known to take our rowing pretty seriously too and several of our squad race on a regular basis at regional, national and even international levels. But even those who race less frequently want to keep getting better. We love the sport and want everyone who joins us to love it too. And it’s a great bonus to be rowing in such a super location, on such a picture-perfect lake. For more details on the ladies’ squad, please contact our Captain Olivia (Liv) Rowley or Vice Captain Judith Blackband (see our contacts page).

Experienced Rower – moved into the area?

Have you rowed elsewhere in the past and perhaps recently moved to this area of North Staffordshire/South Cheshire? Looking for a new club to get back into rowing? Well don’t hesitate – send an email to our Membership Secretary or to one of the Squad Captains and introduce yourself.

Fancy giving rowing a try?

If you would like to try the sport for the first time, then take a look on the Beginners section of this website. Or just drop our Membership Secretary an email and ask for some information about our adult beginner courses.
