About Trentham Boat Club
Trentham Boat Club was founded in the summer of 2004 by Darren Barton, Phil Wheeler and Amy Byron. The formation of the Club was initiated by John Court who made enquiries into the use of Trentham Lake for rowing, following a complete ban on motor water sports. It was the increased amount of motorized water sports on the lake that partially led to the relocation of the North Staffordshire Rowing Club to Rudyard Lake several years ago.
Rowing on Trentham Lake has bounced back and the Club is proving to be a major success. We now have more than 100 members. The Club is very lucky to have the continued support of the Trentham Estate where major developments have taken place: http://www.trentham.co.uk/ Without whose consistent co-operation our Club would probably be non existent.
