Welcome to the Trentham Boat Club Web Site
Trentham Boat Club is located in the heart of the Potteries and is committed to providing rowing opportunities for all ages.
Based at the scenic mile long Trentham Lake (designed by Capability Brown), we are in the process of building a new boat house which is due to open by the end of 2008.
The club aims to encourage rowing for all. No previous experience is required for our Learn to Row sessions. You may not be ready for London 2012 at the end of them but you will have hopefully learnt what fun rowing can be. It is never too late to learn to row either. Many people come into rowing when the rigour of contact sports, such as rugby, begins to pall.
At the other end of the age spectrum, the club has a thriving junior section. They receive excellent coaching from the Club Captain, Darren Barton, who has led them to many victories.
Alternatively, if you are an experienced adult rower then we have crews regularly competing at regattas around the country. Recreational rowing is also encouraged so you do not necessarily have to be athletically gifted. A relaxing paddle on the lake can be a great way to spend a summers evening.
